Morocco expects loans from the African Development Bank of a billion dollars a year in a period of four years. The 2012 package includes a loan of 450 million dollars to develop the wind power sector and 220 million dollars for solar energy. Cooperation with the African Development Bank is part of the Moroccan State’s strategy for the 2012-2016 period which focuses on two strategic axes: the promotion of good governance and social integration and supporting the development of green infrastructure. The solar and wind projects have benefited from soft loans granted by the Clean Technology Fund driven by the African Development Bank and the World Bank.
