According to the Palestinian National Strategy of Renewable Energy, this figure should be reached in 2020. The plan considers the construction of power plants with a total potential of 130MW over the next seven years operating with solar and wind energy, as well as the construction of recycling plants and the treatment of organic waste. The projects proposed for private investment amount to more than 350 million dollars.
