Agenda_Madrid For Refugees

Madrid for Refugees is proud to present MFR Charlas, a new series of educational talks by local activists and creatives.

Michael Damanti is a professional freelance street photographer from the United States now living in Madrid. Shocked by the level of racism against the Romani community in Spain, he has made it his mission to show that they are not criminals but individuals with names, stories and families. Over the past four years he has documented their daily lives and gradually become not just an ally, but a friend. He has been with them through births, deaths, arrests, fights and the day to day struggles we all endure.

Join us and discover a rarely seen side to Madrid’s Romani community.
